Accelerated Freefall Program - All the equipment
in use at the Academy is the latest in design
technology. The parachutes are high - performance ram - air
(square) parachutes. These are highly manoeuvrable and are
designed to give
soft, usually stand-up landings, even on your first jump.
We are also the only dropzone in Western Australia that
uses two Automatic Activation Devices (AADs) on the student
equipment. An AAD is designed to activate the opening
sequence of a parachute at a programmed height above the
ground, in the event that you don't. The legal
requirement is for a student to be equipped with at least
one AAD. The Academy's student equipment has two; one fitted to the main parachute and the latest
cybernetic technology AAD (CYPRES) fitted to the reserve
parachute all of which is a reflection of our
commitment to making your jump experience as enjoyable and
as safe as possible.
Control
whilst under parachute is also made easier by the fact a
radio is fitted to your helmet so that voice commands can
back up the instructions that were given to you during your
ground training.
A complete set of course notes is supplied for the theory
component of the training and jumpsuit and goggles are all
supplied for the jump. All you need to supply is loose
fitting, comfortable clothing and a pair of running shoes
(sneakers).
Utilising modern technology and training methods, safety
in the sport has improved dramatically. Now accessible to
the wider community, skydiving has become one of the world's
fastest growing sports, while retaining the ultimate in
adrenalin rushes!
Tandem Program - Tandem systems
utilised are Tandem Racer Elite's manufactured in the United
States by Jumpshack and are equipped with Cypres Automatic
Activation Devices (AAD).
Main parachutes are Jyro – Icarus.

The
Academy's Aircraft:
2
X Cessna 182s - capable of carrying 5 jumpers each.
These aircraft are specifically used for the Accelerated
Freefall program because of the ease of launching the exits
from the specially modified platform on the
undercarriage. Both of these aircraft are equipped to
operate up to 14,000ft above sea level (AMSL).
NB
The choice of aircraft used on the day is dependant on the
bookings.
